Imagine you're in a big conference with tons of journalists, and the president called you to speak with him about a given subject in front of the whole world. You insult the president by mistake (like calling him and idiot or something)...
What would you do to get out of this situation? :D
This is a tough one, I honestly don't think there is a way out of this.
I would try to think of a word close to the insult that I pronounced as quickly as possible, because if I do, I'd just play it as if I mispronounced the word. This only works if I can find it in a couple of seconds though.
Other than this nothing comes to mind, I'd just apologies and see what happens
